Entrepreneur of the Year

For this category, here's what we're looking for…

Entrepreneurs play a vital role in driving innovation, creating jobs, and generating economic growth. This award celebrates an individual who has transformed a business idea into a successful venture through vision, determination, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Judges will look for someone who has identified an opportunity in the market and successfully turned it into a thriving business. Entrants should demonstrate ambition, resilience, innovation, and a clear ability to overcome challenges while achieving sustainable growth.

The award recognises individuals who have made a significant impact through their leadership, commercial success, and contribution to the local economy. Judges will also consider evidence of business growth, innovation, customer engagement, and future potential.

Basic criteria:

• Must be a business residing in the Borough of Tameside.
• Must be a business which is currently actively trading.
• The business must have a good compliance record with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
• Must employ at least one Tameside resident.
