Tech/Digital Business of the Year

For this category, here's what we're looking for…

This award recognises outstanding technology and digital businesses that are driving growth and transformation through the development and application of technology. Whether operating in software, IT services, digital solutions, AI, e-commerce, cybersecurity, data, or emerging technologies, this category celebrates organisations making a significant impact in their industry.

Judges will look for businesses that showcase technological innovation, successful delivery of digital products or services, and a clear strategy for future growth. With the rise of emerging technologies and AI, it is important that entries can demonstrate how their technology has created real value for customers, improved efficiency, solved challenges, or opened new market opportunities.

Entries should also give evidence of business performance, including growth, profitability, job creation, and market impact, alongside a commitment to responsible and ethical business practices.

Basic criteria:

• Must be a business residing in the Borough of Tameside.
• Must be a business which is currently actively trading.
• The business must have a good compliance record with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
• Must employ at least one Tameside resident.
